My role
I took charge of the visualization of our game, building the art bible as well as keeping style consistency from concept to animation, rendering and implementation.
Shown in this game-play video are the design and animation of the bandit cat, as well as the parallax environment.
I also worked on some assets, such as the final gate when you reach the end!

How it started
We wanted to name ourselves something that would represent where we first met, and so Knights of Shortrealm was born. With that, more medieval scenery, and cats, from media we love.

Style Design:
Following the art bible, we divided each or the designs to all the artists.
Then, once sketches were done, I'd render mine in a paper-like style using textures overlay. I'd go over some concepts myself to ensure style consistency.
Then, I used Procreate for the animations and converting them into sprite sheets.
Take away
Our communication and synergy made it easy and enjoyable to continue with our iterations, which is one of the reasons I believe we got runner up!
Learn how to scope better! We were enthusiastic and passionate, but aimed too high for a 2-day game jam and our first one at that.
